What does your company do?
So my company is still Zekari Consulting. And what we essentially do is help firms improve their ROI and sales process. We basically help companies make more money.
Where were you before BMC?
Before then, I was part of the Salesforce team when I was working in corporate America. And then I took the leap of faith and started my company. It was a really scary time. I wasn't sure if I should do it. I didn't know if I could do it.
I was very indoctrinated into being in corporate America, or just corporate UK, as my background is working in London. I really thought that's what I should be doing. After you finish your undergraduate studies, you go to business school, and then you get a really good job. So transitioning to entrepreneurship, I was like, "Oh my gosh! How am I going to create this? How am I going to have structure? How am I going to make money?"
But it's working, and I really have the BMC course to thank for that. Before I started, like I said, I was very unsure of whether I should be doing this, and I felt like I was always standing in my own way.
I knew I could do it. I knew some people wanted to work with me, but there were just some essential mindset shifts that I really needed to make in order to make this work. I had to believe in myself. I had to believe in my pricing. I had to believe in my ability to secure clients, and that all comes down to mindset. It all comes down to rewiring my belief system and shifting from the security of corporate America to providing myself with the security and ability to succeed.
How did you find BMC, and what made you decide to work with us?
I really think that I was looking for a group or a community of people who were going through something similar, right? And what I love about BMC is that there is a really wonderful community aspect. You're interacting with like-minded individuals on a daily basis if you wish to join the community chat boards, or when we do our monthly group coaching calls and you meet these people.
You're like, "Oh, what business are you starting?" And you kind of have conversations. I've actually won business through the BMC community. I've gotten to know people. I've spoken to them. I've told them about our services, and they've gone on to hire us. I actually found my web designer and brand developer through the BMC community, too.
Yeah, so we really have created a great network of professionals who can learn and grow and uplift each other.
What did you immediately recognize that needed fixing inside your business?
That's a good question. To put it bluntly and make the answer very short, I would say everything, right? Because you were really operating one way while working in corporate America, and you have to really shift your whole mindset to be able to overcome your limiting beliefs.
Understanding what your internal saboteurs are, figuring out how you talk to yourself, figuring out how you uplift yourself—you have to do all of these things in multiple different elements and multiple different ways.
What I really appreciate about the course is that I have access for a full year, so I can tackle and address each core element of my life, whether it's health, fitness, contribution, family, or my mindset around that.
So it really does allow you to fine-tune each element of your life and level up and optimize.
What are some “Before & After” results in tangible metrics you experienced in your business from working with us?
You know, I'm proud to say that I have 7 clients now, and they operate in a variety of different industries that I help with. I'm driving a lot of success with them. One of my clients was able to close a $65K deal within working with me for just a month. Another client was able to upsell their current book of business. We've seen a lot of success, not just for my clients, but for my business itself.
I have 7 clients, some of whom started with a 3-month trial period and are now working with me for the full year. I'm looking to expand my team and hire someone. I believe I can achieve all of that in less than a year. It's pretty amazing. I'm definitely on track to hit six figures before my first year!
So I do believe that it's all working through hard work, determination, and having that support system. What people don't really realize is that entrepreneurship is hard. It's scary. If everyone could do it, they would. And that's why a lot of people don't. But if you do choose to go on that journey, you do need a community of people. You need a framework, and you need something to guide you through it. And that's what I felt the BMC has provided.
What role do you feel BMC Played in your success?
You know, I think I owe a good deal of it to the BMC. The awesome coaching, self-study, and all of that. But I think what it really helped me with was finding that belief in myself and overcoming my self-limiting beliefs. That's why I was actually able to follow through with it, because there were multiple times where I thought, "I don't think I can do this. This is a lot. This is a lot of pressure."
But when you go back and you look at your BTFA and you revisit some core principles throughout the course, and you do the exercises, you can kind of stop yourself in your own tracks and not continue the same patterns as before.
So overcoming self-limiting beliefs and going through the BTFA process is the same for a lot of people, and no matter how you look at it, it has a pattern. Like, "I'm not enough to get this done." You know what I mean? Like, "I'm not enough." And that was something that I grew into and overcame.
What would you say to someone considering working with BMC?
I would say, do it. You've got nothing to lose. You'll be part of a great group of people who will help you along the way, with a fantastic coach leading monthly coaching sessions. You can study at your own pace, about 20 minutes to half an hour a day. It's very easy and straightforward to do, and there's only something to gain from it.
As a business owner, you have to prioritize yourself and work not just in your business, but also on your business. Making that shift is crucial, and committing to a course like this is a great way to prioritize your growth. You can take Friday mornings for yourself, meditate, go for a walk, and spend half an hour every day starting this program.
Otherwise, you can always make excuses, saying you don't have time or it's not important. Or you might think you know it already and rush through it. But making it a priority is essential. Taking half an hour out of your day every day, for the best part of a month, is a very low time commitment for the significant results you'll see in the end.
What’s your favorite thing about BMC?
I would say the community is my favorite aspect! I've been hired through BMC, and I've been able to engage in discussions about entrepreneurship with people. I think that has been really, really amazing.
