You’ve probably landed here because you recently discovered the phrase “deprogramming your mind” or you’re on a personal growth journey.
Whichever stage of the journey you are in, welcome. This is the first step to programming your consciousness to greater awareness.
So what does it mean to deprogram your mind?
I think it helps to better understand how and when your mind was programmed in the first place.
As children, our subconscious is influenced by the beliefs of our caretakers. As the belief system is formed, so are the habits that support them.
For instance, think about the feelings you have around money.
Rather if you believe money grows on trees or is the root of all evil, you inherited these beliefs from your parents or guardians without ever knowingly so.
The same can go in any area of your life: love and relationships for instance.
If you or someone you know were never exposed to healthy loving and communicative relationships, you will probably go on to repeat this pattern, yet yearn for something different, without knowing how to change it.
Why so? Because you can never outperform your belief systems.
But we’ll get into ‘how’ to change it in a later blog, today we will discover when to change it and what to look for. So when you desire a different outcome than your reality is showing you, it’s a clear sign that it’s time to shake things up and deprogram.
These are the very moments where past conditioning and self-sabotaging behaviors kick in. There’s the path of familiarity, based on your current beliefs that are holding you back, and then the one of the unknown that you must take to accomplish something you’ve never done before.
One feels safe and secure, while the other feels uncomfortable… Which only feels uncomfortable because your brain has a funny way of protecting you by resisting things that are unfamiliar.
Self-awareness: This is the foundation of deprogramming your mind from old beliefs.
If you’re now aware that your beliefs are limiting your life, then you can now make the necessary changes to your behaviors.
However, deprogramming from old beliefs and changing your habits is easier said than done. If everyone could do it, everyone would do it.
Understand that reading this blog is by no coincidence. Success and achieving your wildest dreams don’t happen by accident, they happen by design.
Your beliefs drive your behaviors, and your behavior and desire for more have wired you to read this. Reading this is just a piece of the blueprint to your new way of thinking and your new way of life. Your subconscious is designed around your beliefs that only understand yes or no. Your beliefs are either hardwired for unlimited success or they are hardwired to limit our success.
The answer to uncovering your beliefs is how you arrive at what you really want in life.
When we deprogram from old beliefs, we choose a new future that we can live in today.
You don’t have to be a slave to your old patterns anymore.
Take your power back by creating your own thoughts and beliefs that serve you today while allowing you to expand into every possibility of tomorrow. If it’s not a hell yes….then it’s most likely a hell no.
So again, what does self-sabotaging behavior or limiting beliefs look like?
When you decide that enough is enough and are ready to start fresh, you can elevate your life in 60 days.
